PUPPY LOVE!

BINGO - he's most probably a mixed breed, I just don't know what. I wish he's a welsh corgi mix :)

BINGO – he’s most probably a mixed breed, I just don’t know what. I wish he’s a welsh corgi mix 🙂

I’m trying hard not to get too attached to this adorable puppy…and it is DIFFICULT!

Last time I wrote about our neighbor who  ‘abandons’ his dogs – he is still doing it until now. When he picked up Fiona, the shi tzu, he had a small puppy in a box. He asked my dad to take care of it, just for the night and he will pick it up the next morning. And the puppy has been with us for more than 2 weeks now, imagine that!

How can you not fall for this cuteness?! We named him BINGO, yup…from the nursery song  Bingo because it’s my son’s one and only favorite song. I know, naming the pup will just get us more attached, but I’m actually wishing / praying that our neighbor would just disappear in the face of this earth and leave the dog to us. Besides, if this pup is back with him, he’ll suffer the same fate as Fiona and George – to be neglected.

As of the moment, he’s in a puppy cage. He’s too small to handle the rough play our three other older dogs do. And even though he got a ‘lick bath’ from Max (our four year old rottweiler) Bingo’s still scared of him. I’d be scared of Max too if I’m as small as Bingo and Max approaches me, hehehe!

I’m wishing that this pup is a pembroke welsh corgie…yup, that’s one of the breeds I wanted to have, but it’s a rare breed here and even if there are breeders a pup is too expensive for me. I have no idea what breed this pup is…our neighbor doesn’t know either, he doesn’t even know how many months old the puppy is, nor does he know what kind of food the pup eats…it’s another round of guessing game again.

Anyway, his name is Bingo and he’s a little furball of puppy love!

OUR NEIGHBOR’S POOR DOGS, FIONA & GEORGE

The video above shows Fiona, the Shi tzu and Chibi, my Pomeranian spitz. Fiona is our neighbor’s poor dog. She, along with another shi tzu and a dog of an unknown breed (we call him Tu-tu, we later found out his name was George) were sort of ‘abandoned’ by their owner, who happens to be our neighbor and my dad’s distant relative. The owner doesn’t come home for days, leaving no food or water for his dogs.

Fiona

It all started when we began giving bread to George; it was obvious that he was very hungry with the way he just swallows the piece of bread we throw at him through the walls. After that Fiona came along with him, she was barking at us, but what the heck, we threw a piece of bread at her and she ate it. And it was like that for days, with no sign of our neighbor coming home.

One morning, we were surprised to find Fiona in our garage, under the car! She managed to slip under their gates because she was skin and bones and yeah…we still don’t know how she got in our garage, but for the next two days, she became our little furry guest.

One thing I noticed, she doesn’t want to go back home anymore. Each time we let our other dogs out, we take Fiona along, she had all the chances to go home, but she only follows us around. She stayed with us for two more days, until our neighbor asked my dad if he saw his shi tzu. I would have loved to lie at this point, knowing that Fiona would be ‘abandoned’ again if our neighbor takes her home. So he took her home, and locked her up in their garage.

This went on for a few more days before Fiona managed to get out of their garage and waited by Max’s (our Rottweiler) dog house, waiting for us to go out of the house. For about three more days she stayed with us, believe it or not, she gained weight! I would have loved to ask the owner to let us have Fiona, but he said he was going to take her to his girlfriend’s house.

I wasn’t there when our neighbor came to pick up Fiona that evening. But according to my mom,  Fiona was running away from him!  Even the dog doesn’t like him…if only we had animal laws that actually work here, I would have made a complaint already.  But no, we live in a country where dogs are killed for their meat. Even if there’s a law against it, not all people are aware of it – it’s a reality that sucks.

So now, I just hope that Fiona is doing way better with our neighbor’s girlfriend.

I AM MAX, THE ROTTWEILER

Human picked me out of my 8 other siblings, I don’t know…maybe because she thought I was cute while chewing on a metal bar, haha! She took me home that same day, but we had to stop at the vet first. On the way there, I threw up on human’s lap. Her pants were a mess but she didn’t get mad – lucky me!

The vet gave me vitamin shots and scheduled another visit before human carried me again and we went home. I was surprised to find out that she had other dogs – a cranky, old Dalmatian named Antonne and Sonic, a Chow-chow / Shi-tzu cross. There was no doubt about it, human and her family loved dogs 😀

A few months later, human brought home a green ball, and it has been my favorite toy 😀

I like to go on an adventure when it rains at night. Sometimes, I forget that human and her family is worried that I go missing for several hours, the longest I’ve been gone was two days, when I wandered too far away and another family found me. They knew where my human’s house was, but they were afraid to take me there, that I might attack / bite them. But one of them managed to get a chain and attached it to my collar and tied me to a tree for the meantime.  They were a nice family, they fed me but they complained I ate too much. Hey, I’m a big dog!

A few hours later, human’s father fetched me and thanked the family who took care of me the last two days. I’m glad I’m back at human’s house again.

Last rainy, Monday night I went on another adventure. But since everyone in the neighborhood knew me already, one of the neighbors went to human’s house and told them where I could be found. Again, human’s father went and fetched me.  I shouldn’t be going on adventures like that again, but I just can’t help it.

Max loves taking a bath 😀

Happy Max after taking a bath

This is the latest photo of Max, after he went on an adventure just the other night. Just chilling out – no, there will be no adventures for you this time, Max.

I’M A LADY

Ms. Chibi

…is what Chibi would have said whenever we take notice on how slooooooooow she eats.

Like I’ve mentioned before, I have four dogs; Max, the almost three year old Rottweiler, Pom-pom, the almost two year old Pomeranian spitz (who knows a lot of tricks by the way) and Nogi-nogi, the youngest of the pack – I really don’t know his exact age because he was only given to us by our neighbor who had no idea how old Nogi is as well, but he is still a puppy and Chibi, of course.

Chibi is around seven months old now. She is also a Pomeranian spitz like Pom-pom but she has a darker shade of brown – red Pomeranian fur to be exact. She is smaller than Pom-pom and the vet said she wouldn’t be growing much anymore, because female dogs tend to be smaller than male dogs. The name Chibi is a japanese word which means ‘small’ – so the name fits her perfectly. Like all Pomeranian, Chibi went through the puppy uglies stage; you really wouldn’t think she’s a Pomeranian with the way she looked like before. Anyway, like I said with my opening sentence, Chibi eats very slow. My other three dogs have finished their meals, taken their walks, played with each other but Chibi is still eating, barely finishing half of her food in the bowl.

Yeah, “I’m a lady” is just a human’s / my excuse for Chibi’s food picking. She’s a picky eater. She eats the meats first, then the dog food and lastly the rice, and that takes her three hours – more or less. She doesn’t like foods that are hard. They say Chibi’s just like me; no, I’m NOT picky with my food, I just eat slow. I’m usually the last one to finish. What can I say, I’m just enjoying the food! As for Chibi, I’d like to think that she’s using the ‘I’m a lady’ excuse since she’s the only female dog I have (the third one since I was in high school) and the rest are all males (for some reason, we prefer male dogs over female dogs).

She eats slowly, she eats with finesse, she eats like a lady – she’s Chibi!

Happy Chibi

All smiles and happy because she got a big piece of treat 😀

A Rottweiler vs. Pomeranian?

Seriously, who’s going to win? Of course, the answer is obvious. But I’m not here to really talk about what happens on dog fights; I LOVE dogs so much that at one time, I’ve had four of them at the same time – all different breeds. I’ve had a black labrador which my brother named ‘Daniel’ (RIP), a Dalmatian named ‘Antonne’ (RIP) – the oldest of the pack, he just passed away last April – I miss him so much…we also had ‘Sonic’ (RIP), he’s a Chow-chow and shi-tzu mix and Max, my 2 year old Rottweiler who has a very big appetite, Pom-pom, my 1 year old Pomeranian spitz and Chibi, my 4 month old Pomeranian.

This is a video of Max and Pom-pom playing – actually, it’s more of Pom humping Max. They’re both male dogs so it’s pretty funny watching Pom humping Max, who is four times his size, hehe! This is exactly the reason why I got Chibi – she’ll be Pom’s girlfriend when she grows up 😀

This video was taken November 2010, before Pom had a haircut for the summer months (April to May)
